Nottingham to Newark

Was a nice sunset in Nottingham

Yesterday morning I set of early morning, would be another boiling hot day.

So very hot, the weather
Some nice big houses on route

And very big locks, first one of the day I was the lock keeper, electric, glad i dont suffer from height scare anymore.

This stretch of river Trent er really cosy

Was cruising all day with this boat, Rob and Hanna, Later in the day, We had a lunch stop at Gunthorpe before we did the rest of the journey down to Newark.

Some more photos enjoy.

Huge weir before Newark cut

Remains of Newark castle

I found a good mooring and will stay here 2 days before head down stream to Cromwell lock and the tidal section of River Trent.

Yesterdays cruise was of  5 locks and 24 miles

Happy Days
