Tidal River Trent here I go.

To day I did  travel the first stretch of  Tidal river Trent from Cromwell to Turksey Lock.

On my way from the 48 hour mooring ( I stayed one night ) to the lock

Was few other boats going in same convoy

I was feeling rather nervous today, not often I have done Tidal rivers but hay ho.

And here we all go

The river is mostly  wide but you need make good space in the bends, Would not like to get stuck, and waiting for next high tide. One boat did get stuck because he shortened the bend, I stopped, did turn around and was trying my best to help him of the sand but Had to give up that, almost got stuck my self. He probably learnt his lesson in Tidal cruise.

Like you see here Keeping away from the corner.

More relaxed here soon all done for to day.

When the animal can walk far out you need keep away from the bank,

Torksey lock and my first leg on Tidal  River Trent finished

Got me a nice overnight mooring.

To day I cruised 17 miles and 2 huge locks
