Made a short Vlog today.

Time to move on.

 My stay In Liverpool have been rely great. Lovely place with lovely people. 

But after almost a week, it was time to move on. On this Vlog I heading back to Preston Brook Tunnel and on to Trent & Mersey Canal, will do the Anderton Boat lift and spend a weeks time on the river Weaver navigation.

 Hi and Welcome back to my blog.

On this Vlog I travel the last stretch from Litherland to Stanley lock flight of 4 locks.

Where I will go down the locks with my friends Cathy and John ( Dog Jerry ) on Narrow boat Harry.

And cruise the Liverpool Link Branch together. It was a windy and later a rainy day. But I was able making a great Vlog in the end. I hope you will enjoy watching.

Battery Problems & Cruising to Alvechurch

After my last Blog I tested my batteries bank. Real life test, unfortunately all my domestic batteries was goner, and my starter battery was on last life as well. 

Was trying getting problems solved in Birmingham Mooring, but NO one could do the job on short notis. 

My great friends Eva & Colin got me in touch with Alvechurch Marina, and they could change my batteries already the next day. 

So About half one the same afternoon I set off for Alvechurch.

A new day starts on VERULAM

 I am back home on my beloved Narrowboat, its 8 months since last time I was so lucky to be here. 

The first few days on board it is loads to sort out, cleaning and even more cleaning. 

Because I soon will head out for my main travel for a couple of months I be needed stock up with food and other heavy stuff when I am close to the shops. 

Have had some such lovely time with my friends too, do not think I could be keeping the boat if they would not had looked after her the last few years. Love and gratitude to you both. 

I have made a Youtube video, About a new day start on Verulam. 

 Youtube making is for me a new hobby, it is also a great way for all my family &  friends to see what I am up to.  And it also making me happy!  You my reader follow my Blog and maybe my Youtube channel.

Have to get back to my prep work for my travels.

4 years since my last proper cruise! Why so long?

 Hi and welcome back to my Blog. 

In a couple of weeks I will  start doing  preparations On Verulam for my extended cruising. 

It is now 4 years since my last proper cruise! Why so long? 

2018 My cruising year ended in Sheffield. Where I had my boat over the winter months. Such lovely memories.

                                                 Mars / April 2019 I head slowly back south. 

Had a week at Thorne were I did paint jobs on Verulam

Was meeting and cruising with great friends.

On the Tidal River Trent from Keadby

Somewhere on the non tidal 

A great 48 hour mooring on river Trent

Cruising session ended in Birmingham by July 2019 because of health reason. 

I struggled with back pain for long time, could hardly walk because of the pain.

Winter 2020 we all know what happen. 

I got the dreaded sickness, and had to struggle with long covid the next couple of years + other complication off my back problems. Ended 2020 in a Wheelchair. Used started walk again a Year ago.

Been rely hard physically and mentally getting where I am today, but I am now ready getting back on my travels!

It will be a small indication on my physical form when doing the Smethwick -   Locks of Three 

Only a couple of days later I will be going down Wolverhampton 21( locks ). 

Hopefully I do not need to ask CRT for help. Last resort,  I love doing locks by myself because its great fun & rely good exercise.

I have been busy working on my Youtube channel as well lately, it have become a fun hobby.

Birmingham Canal Loop cruise.

 This is Second edition of episode 2.

 Its  now few weeks ago I started editing my own video clip for my new youtube channel.

Soon I am back in Birmingham.

Soon ready for new adventures.

My summer update 2023 and Late summer cruising plans - New Vlog

 Hello.

It is now 6 months since my last time in my home on the water, because of Brexit it would be like this for the years to come, it's a real shame for me and so many others. UK was my home for almost 15 years. 

We all need to do the best of it, its for me like living like a nomade, Between Norway & England and Spain. I would rather spent most year On my beloved boat and visiting Norway few times a year like I used to do.

But hay ho life goes on. 

Soon I going back to Birmingham, and will then do my first extensive long cruise in almost four years, 

I am so happy I can plan to do so.   I had covid 2020 + long covid with extreme complicating following problems. Was also Wheelchair bound for two years, only one year since I started walk again. 

Been a tuff time to get back to more normal health & form but I getting there. Verulam have been my goal in the long distance since the dreaded 2020 sickness. 

When I was back home on Verulam last time I did manage do loads of cruising around canals locally, and made many video clip of them at that time. I did publish them on my new Youtube channel. But since then I started editing the videos together. 

You can watch  them after this post, I hope you enjoy watching like I enjoy making them. 

From August I will start making a YouTube travel Vlog. 

My planned cruising this late summer is from Birmingham to Wolverhampton - down the locks - 

Go then on Shropshire union canal - Over to Middlewich then Anderton Boat lift - 

Stay on river Weaver for some time - After I head for Lymm - Manchester - Ends at Liverpool before head south again. 

I think this would make materila for some great travel Vlogs. 

This is my first ever Youtube production, was on a day out fishing in Norway.
